The Mission of the Oregon Covered Bridge Festival is to help preserve and protect our historic treasures.

  At one time there were over 600 of these beautiful bridges.  Now we only have 51 left.  Many people enjoy them for their beauty, the history, because they are romantic and nostalgic.

  Whatever your reason is, come join us in our festival.  It is a fun-filled family event sure to please everyone.

Cottage Grove

Cottage Grove is a friendly, and family-oriented small town. It is located at the southern end of the Willamette Valley, Cottage Grove has a variety of opportunities for family recreation. Cottage Grove and Dorena Lake are located only minutes from the downtown area. They offer a variety of outdoor activities, including boating, fishing, swimming and camping. Cottage Grove also offers golfing, bowling, and fine dining.

The Bohemia Mining District, located past the Dorena Reservoir, is the site of a mid-ninteenth century gold rush. Covered bridges, abandoned mines and ghost towns such as Bohemia City can be toured by vehicle.
